The atmosphere at Island Vibe Backpackers Hostel is tranquil and relaxed. From the moment you enter the front gate of the hostel, you will feel at home and once you spot the sunny wooden decks overlooking the famous Knysna Heads, you’ll know you found one of the best hostels in South Africa. Comfy en suite doubles, small cosy dorms, a snug bar that serves refreshingly cold beers and a pool table to entice you to shoot a few frames. On chilly Knysna nights, backpackers can snuggle around the fire; on warm days visitors can dive into the sparkling swimming pool.

We have 3 family sized en suite rooms consisting of a double bed and a bunk bed. These rooms are versatile in that they are ideal as a double, triple or convenient for a group of 4 who prefer to be privately accommodated.
A cheaper non en suite double is available for those on a strict budget!
The dorms in Island Vibe Knysna are cosy and small, not exceeding 6 per room. All rooms have lockers for your valuables and are comfortably made up with quality linen.
Most of our rooms at Island Vibe look out over the Heads and lead out onto the sunny deck and swimming pool area.
