Seaview Game & Lion Park
This is your opportunity to get up close and personal with 40 species of wildlife while enjoying a game-viewing experience on the 120 hectare bush & grassland park. The separate sanctuary section houses Crocodiles, Lynx, Jackals, Rock monitors & the adorable Meerkat, while other animals like the Giraffe, Wildebeest, Impala and Zebra move around freely in the park.
Seaview Game & Lion park are open daily from 9 till 5. Entry fee per adult is R45 and R20 per child/scholar.
Addo Elephant Park
Addo offer the Big 7 (Elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo, leopard, whales and great white sharks). With 450 Elephants roaming wild in the Malaria free Addo National park, the park draws thousands of tourists from around the world annually. But Addo offer more than just elephants, you will also see Buffalo, Rhino, Kudu, Eland, Warthog and a variety of buck from different species.
Addo are perfectly spread over 5 major vegetation biomes and just 75 Km North of Port Elizabeth. Apart from the Fauna & Flora, you can also view archaeological and historical sites. Many game drive options are available and last normally 2 Hrs. All game drives are done by highly qualified game rangers on open 4x4 vehicles. Other options like horse riding, hiking & 4x4 trails and bird watching is available.
Visitors can enter the Addo National Park from 7 am and gates close at 7 pm.
Schotia Private Game reserve
Visiting Schotia, you are sure to see all the animals you imagined you would while in South Africa. Schotia Private Game Reserve has approximately 2000 animals from 40 mammal species. You are almost guaranteed to see the free roaming lions on the Tooth & Claw game drive. Schotia offers one of the best game viewing experiences on offer in South Africa.
This owner run & managed private game reserve is just a short drive from Port Elizabeth and a must for any visitor to the Nelson Mandela Bay area.
Shamwari Game reserve
Shamwari is perfectly spread over 5 eco-systems, making it a diverse game park to explore on the new open Land Rover while doing a game drive. Highly experienced game rangers will tell you everything you would love to about the fauna & flora from the area. Apart from game drives one can opt to go on guided walks where you will get dust on your boots and experience Africa face to face.
Visitors to Shamwari can visit the Born Free Foundation Animal Rescue and Education Centre to get another perspective on wildlife in Africa.
Amakhala Game Reserve
Amakhala Game Reserve is set in the “Frontier” country (Just 45 minutes drive from Port Elizabeth) where wildlife still roam free and game drives are more than something you do, it’s a memorable experience. You will see Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Giraffe and a number of antelope. Amakhala offer land and aqua experiences with sunrise & sunset Game drives, Hikes & the magnificent river cruise on the Bushman’s River where you will hear the call of the Fish Eagle, a breathtaking experience in its own that will leave you in awe. You can also do the sundowner canoe Safari if you like getting your hands wet.
